Last year Sharon and I went to a very crowded and unusual art opening at SOCO in Costa Mesa – great food, music, poetry, and a juried art exhibit.
So this year I decided to enter 3 of my wood relief art works and all 3 have been accepted. The 2 venues at SOCO are not traditional galleries but more like designer showrooms with furniture/stuff all around the chosen art works… kind of a treasure hunt!

Several months ago I received an email asking for permission to use an image of mine that the musician had found online. I said OK.
The art work is called EARTH AIR FIRE WATER.
The CD arrived last week and the cover looks like this.
and the CD also has the image of the art work
With the title of the CD Sacred Elementals, it is easy to see why
my art work was chosen! The music is like chanting.
The next meeting for all SCA members is Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Coastline College Gallery. This date was chosen by several board members to enable viewing the RIBBA 2 exhibit (reception 5-8pm), and to view the Art/Craft Fair at the college (noon to 8pm).
The meeting begins at 3pm, and the AGENDA includes exhibit opportunities, reviews of books and exhibits by members, and what’s happening for the rest of 2016.
