I'm a surreal fine art photographer that specializes in combining travel photos to create photomontages. I once sat on a plane for 27 hours to explore the hot jungles of Africa and capture photos of lions and giraffes for my work. My goal is to create the most unique photomontages by combining images from around the world.

I've traveled to over 23 countries to collect photos and find inspiration. I've found gratefulness for life and strong craving for art.
This craving has also driven me to create my own art. Each experience strengthens my resolve to travel and enjoy artistic inspiration.

ART STATEMENT – TREES
Thom Wright  2013

Big trees have long inspired humans beyond the utilitarian resource they provide.  Their spirit is uplifting; they grow in annual cycles, becoming massive, towering and long lived wonders. There is extraordinary strength in their limbs and branches, and yet they rhythmically move with the wind.  Each is unique, yet is constantly changing with time and season.  They thrive with earth, water and sun to benefit man and the environment, and symbolically they join the earth with the sky.  In my Cubist and expressionistic painting style, I paint abstractions of these qualities of trees.
