This annual open-call, non-juried, salon-style group exhibition features approximately 200 artists and over 400 works in a variety of mediums.  Local, regional, and national artists are invited to participate.  For over 20 years Centered on the Center has promoted our mission of developing an awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the arts.

SCA Artists at the Sunset Beach Art Festival

SCA members Ron Howlett and Thom Wright’s paintings have been accepted for show at the Art Gallery of the Sunset Beach Art Festival. The Art Festival will be held on Mothers’ Day weekend, May 12 – 13, 10 am to 5 pm, located at the corner of 12th St. and North Pacific in Sunset Beach, next to Pacific Coast Highway. The festival also includes a large number of arts and crafts vendors along the green strip at North Pacific, and it attracts thousands of visitors every year.

391 works from 220 local artists, working in a variety of media and styles.

For over 23 years, Centered on the Center has promoted the mission of developing awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the visual arts. Many of the artists will be there and offer visitors a chance to chat with artists and art friends. All works presented are for sale with many opportunities for purchasing art at bargain prices to suit every taste and budget. 30% of sales goes to the art center and a cash bar and food area will also be there.

Included in this show are two paintings by Thom Wright, a long time member of the art center and regular contributor.
