12" x 12" Group Exhibition
April 15 - June 15
Artist Reception: Wednesday, April 24, 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Jasmin has asked that those who are planning on attending the reception to please RSVP.

At some point throughout their careers, many artists will impart upon the viewer a small square window into their world, and experiment within a 12" x 12" dimensional surface area. This spatial confine of 12 square inches, two-dimensions equal on all sides, lends the artist a perfectly balanced emptiness with which they use to freely express themselves, utilizing a vast array of subjects, styles, and mediums. Therefore, by imposing this spatial uniformity on themselves, the Gallery @ WorkWell asks artists to counterintuitively create a diverse vibrancy in their work. Our show 12” x 12” functions as a contradiction; a collection of these pieces is both a display of the artist’s individuality and a cohesive assemblage of equivalently sized works of art.

Harmoniously dissonant, uniformly distinct, these artists represent a surge through the conformity of everyday life. The Gallery at WorkWell wants our artists to activate this philosophy in their work. We aim to break through the mold of the traditional office setting, encouraging interaction between art, business, and community. In this, our third exhibition, artists break through their own mold: the canvas.

SCA Members Sharon Kump, Karen Feuer-Schwager, Janet Inez-Adams, Kathy Breaux, and Randall Holbrook invite you to join them at the 12x12 artist reception at the Gallery at WorkWell.
