Natalie Reilly was born January 5, 1971 in Orange, California. She grew up in Orange County, CA and currently resides there with her husband and two children.
At a young age, she started drawing and took an interest in art related subjects. Later, during her college years at Fullerton College, she took numerous art and art history classes. It was at that time she was introduced to acrylic brush painting. This medium resonated quickly and she soon developed a passion for acrylic on canvas painting.
Eager to “move on” with her life, she put art on the backburner for quite some time. Marriage to her high school sweetheart and raising two young children took priority. As the years passed and her children grew, she was able to focus again on her artwork. It was in 2011 when she decided to seriously pursue her passion for art.
A small remodel on her home in 2011 left her with a huge blank wall perfect for a large artwork. She painted a 48 x 60 canvas, transforming the blank space into a colorful showpiece. Upon completion, “word spread” and she was asked to paint another piece for a private collector. From there, her painting career began to grow. Her paintings have been in several live and online galleries. Some of her paintings have been awarded. In addition, she has had her paintings published in art magazines, art/literary works, and gallery calendars.
Bold colors and vivid scenery embody the subjects of her artwork. Her paintings are inspired by her home town, her travels, and the beauty of nature.
