We Are Home: A Community Quilt Project

April 29, 2021       Randall Holbrook

The purpose of this project is to bring our community of Los Angeles together, demonstrating unity and humanity through a collective effort to make art symbolizing Home. Home can be interpreted to mean anything from your personal home, neighborhood, your business, a sense of place, your spiritual dwelling or the larger concept of the earth or universe. Your uniqueness contributes to the collective whole and every small, individual act of creating contributes to a larger and higher purpose.

Our goal is to collect as many blocks for the quilt as possible, to catalogue them and exhibit the assembled quilts at the SoLA Gallery and participating organizations. At the end of touring, the quilts will be auctioned where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to several homeless organizations. We appreciate your donation of your quilt block and your effort to help heal our community.
