Los Angeles Art Association is proud to present the second iteration of Hecho a Mano (Made by Hand). Juried by Curator Jill Moniz, the exhibit will feature objects created by emerging artists and explore issues of quality workmanship and cultural heritage. The exhibit opens Saturday, Saturday, August 11, 2018, and runs through August 24, 2018.

Fresh Awards 2018

Dear Art Lovers

SCA member Shelley Heffler has been selected to show her new body of work titled Anthropocene for the Fresh Awards Exhibition, 2018. This is a group show of nine artists who were selected from over 400 artist entries last year for the FRESH 2017 juried exhibition.  Jurors, Fatemeh Burnes and Peter Frank, selected the artists they agreed made a strong impact and best represented current ideas and trends in Contemporary Art.

SCA Artists at the Sunset Beach Art Festival

SCA members Ron Howlett and Thom Wright’s paintings have been accepted for show at the Art Gallery of the Sunset Beach Art Festival. The Art Festival will be held on Mothers’ Day weekend, May 12 – 13, 10 am to 5 pm, located at the corner of 12th St. and North Pacific in Sunset Beach, next to Pacific Coast Highway. The festival also includes a large number of arts and crafts vendors along the green strip at North Pacific, and it attracts thousands of visitors every year.
