Media: All work must be on 4×6 inch postcard cardstock format and sent through the post office mail. Any work not following these guides will not be used.
Theme: Huddle. You are not alone. Show us how you #resist. We want to hear your voices.
Sales: All work is donated to the show and sold for $25 each. 100% of proceeds will be donated equally to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and the Trevor Project.

Curated by Louis Jacinto, whose work has been continuously exhibited in the Southern California area since 1980, and in the last decade he has also focused on showcasing other artists via his periodic publication of onodream Magazine: One Artist, One Conversation, Here/There will be his contribution to The Getty Initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA 2017. Curator and art historian Kene J. Rosa will be the exhibition’s co-curator.
Exhibition proposals are evaluated annually by Fine Arts staff. Artists and art collectors interested in exhibiting works in a City gallery must submit an Exhibition Proposal Form, curriculum vitae, artist statement and CD of submitted artwork. Artwork is selected that is broad in scope and diverse in its appeal to provide the community an opportunity to experience artistic expression representative of a wide variety of media, styles, techniques, and subjects.
The annual exhibition schedule is set 12 months or more in advance of exhibition dates.

About LAAA Artist Membership:
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, LAAA’s mission is to provide opportunities, resources, services and exhibition venues for emerging artists. Founded in 1925, LAAA has launched the art careers of many celebrated artists and has played a central role in the formation of Los Angeles’ arts community.
LAAA Programs include:
– Opportunities to submit your work to LAAA gallery exhibitions and have your work reviewed by a diverse group of art professionals.
– Mentoring opportunities pairing young artists with established artists.
– Ongoing career preparedness and workplace readiness workshops for artists.
– Panel discussions with celebrated artists and art historians.
– Film & Video 825: Ongoing screenings of local and nationally recognized video artists’ work.
– LAAA Artist Sponsorships for economically disadvantaged artists.
– Ongoing international cultural exchange opportunities for LAAA artists.
Submission Rules & Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to all emerging artists living in the U.S. Entries must be recent work created within the last three years.
Media: All media. No craft or functional art. Video must be under 10 minutes in duration. For video, please upload to YouTube or Vimeo. Then copy and paste the URL in the appropriate fields.
Entry Fees: $35 for up to 5 entries. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Online Submissions: Images must be under 1 MB. Complete the online form on or before September 23, 2016 at 5pm. You will receive an email, confirming the committee’s decision on or before by September 27, 2016.
