Lately I am doing sketchbook drawings of natural settings around my home, and will show 12 of these beginning October 1st for three months at the Back Bay Muth Center in Newport Beach. If you get a chance to go visit the center, it is in a beautiful wild area not far from the beach. It is off Irvine Ave at University.

JANET INEZ ADAMS, MFA

I am searching for the sacred in every day, and finding it with the help of color and shape.

Sometimes my dog and I walk in the Back Bay, and I notice the changes in the seasons and weather, and the activities of the wildlife. Birds are my favorites. I carry a clipboard, archival papers, and some Portfolio Crayons that dissolve in water. Later in my studio I finish each image by adding water and other colors. When I was a teenager I began working with images of Nature, and still I am inspired by what is revealed.  jartms@att.net
